You know, I’ve just gotta mentally prepare myself for the fact that “Deicide” is gonna be the title of every chapter until Aizen is defeated. It’s just gonna be really stupid how Japanese Tankobons(Volumes) 47-onwards are all gonna have the title “Deicide” on them.
This chapter was actually a bit less boring than last week’s chapter. I really like seeing Ichigo’s human friends trying to survive and defend themselves, while semi-knowing what’s going on right now. I especially like seeing Mizuiro’s side of making bombs, it’s another side of him I never knew existed and I’m like, “Woah, this guy can make bombs just like that. Wow!”
The ending of the chapter makes it seem like Aizen is suspicious of Ichimaru. I swear though, if Ichimaru turns out to be a good guy and tries to kill Aizen, that will be the dumbest thing Kubo could ever pull and it will totally destroy Ichimaru’s character.
Yea, it would be kind of predictable for Gin to be the good guy. Hopefully the story will take another twist just like when we first realized Aizen was the bad guy – an unforeseeable change of the story.
In my opinion though, Gin is after something much bigger than just obtaining a power.
What I want to know is the motives and reasoning behind Aizen’s purpose. So far he’s just a bad guy doing bad things because he is bad. We haven’t gotten any insight behind his past which is probably a big deal, because by now we have had at least a glimpse at all the major character’s past in some way.
That’s sad. : ( If only they closed at nine…
I’m also looking forward to seeing a flashback of Aizen’s origins and how he became such a psychotic sociopath. I want to know how he chose this path and what he was like before he became such evil. I mean, truthfully and this is just an assumption, I don’t think Aizen was always like this, he must’ve had been a normal Shinigami back in the day, most likely before he joined the Gotei 13. Plus, I want to know how he was born with such an incredible and powerful reiatsu or how he matured such a powerful reiatsu. Or I could be wrong and Aizen was just a psychotic sociopath from the beginning of his after-life existence.
But I remember Kubo stating that he loves Aizen’s character being mysterious so he didn’t want to go too in-depth with his character and I guess that meant that he didn’t want to explain Aizen’s origins. But I hope Kubo decides to give us some kind of flashback, even a two to three chapters of Aizen’s origins.
I agree with ryo723. I was shocked ot see another side of Keigo, personally. It’s nice ot know he’s not just a perv, but can come around and be courageous as well. And Mizuiro was also cool.
I’m personally anxious to finally know Isshin’s background. It’s driving me nuts to have some thing important dangled in my face and not know what it is yet!!! I really want to know what his connection is with Aizen. It really seemed that they knew each other quite well at their last encounter.
I’m also curiouse about Aizen’s past. He really could just be evil. I mean, look at Kurotsuchi-taicho. He’s a demented maniac, and was imprisoned for being such. He just is that (as far as we know, anyway).
Ahaha, Mayuri is just fucked up, plain and simple. I still wanna know the reason why he was put in the Squad 2 prison during the Turn Back the Pendulum arc. He must’ve done something extremely terrible to be put in his own private cell.
I’m also interested to see Isshin’s past as well. Kubo already stated in an interview he did here in San Francisco that he plans to implement Isshin’s backstory into the manga so I’m sure we’ll be seeing that in the future, either during this arc or after it. As for Aizen, I’m hoping Kubo will give us some kind of backstory or information regarding Aizen’s origins. I want to know if he’s just truly evil and psychotic or if he became that way through some kind of experience or situation.
There is no way Aizen is just evil and crazy – if he was, then is would have been confirmed by now. Just about every character has some type of past that has drastically shaped them in a way. There clearly is a big importance about Aizen’s considering any personal flashback hasn’t been presented at all yet.
